Today I am thankful for a husband who:
took the morning off work to come with me to my doctor's appointment
handed me tissues while I cried during my doctor's appointment, repeatedly
said he'd be okay with twins (unprovoked!) if we were to conceive them (see more below)
I am also thankful for a doctor who:
came into work this morning, even though she was supposed to be off this week, to do my ultrasound
told Drew he "had to be nice to me" after getting poked and prodded all morning
said that it looks like I may have two follicles about ready to ovulate, and then ordered two injections of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) to be administered in each of my hips (Um, yeah...OUCH. Believe me. The other possibility is that it could be one mother of a cyst; I go in for another ultrasound next week to see if what we saw "went down," which would be a good indication that they were indeed two follicles that ovulated, not a cyst. If they're about the same size, we'll have to discuss what needs to be done to take care of the cyst.)
gave me hope that good things could happen for us over the next couple of weeks, saying "Let's all cross our fingers for twins!"
