As evidenced by yesterday's post, I am taking a prompt entitled "Give Thanks" from Maggie's book and using it all week long.
It is Thanksgiving week, so what better time to, um, spend the time giving thanks for the blessings (large and small) in my life. (Plus, it is so easy for one to get bogged down by what one doesn't have at times, that this "one" thinks it'll be good for, um, one.
)
Today I am thankful for a shortened commute to work. It seems like such a small thing, but a half-hour commute instead of a 45-50 minute commute somehow soothes my psyche. In the morning, I now "sleep in" until 6 a.m. And in the afternoon, I spend less time getting frustrated sitting in rush-hour traffic. It is amazing how much gaining an extra 30 minutes of my day, via a shorter commute, makes Ember a much less grumpy gal.
And I can use all the help I can get on Mondays...
So. What "little thing" are you thankful for today?
