Kate-Didn't want to mention it when we were talking, because the auction wasn't over yet, and it wasn't a done deal. Drew was very nervous all day keeping an eye on it, and I didn't want to jinx it! :)

Ahhhh, yes, we would not want to jinx it! I'm so happy the night (or was it this morning?) ended well! I'm sure he is elated!

Yes it was for multiple reasons. I was jazzed up from the auction because it came down to the wire and I was happy because I won it, but like I do after every big purchase I was second-guessing myself and wondering if I should have done that...blah blah blah. So, eventually I convinced myself that the deal was just too good to pass up and passed out from being exhausted. :)

Congrats Drew! Every boy (and some girls) needs a 2 wheeled winter project, and although it is pretty, I know the power it hides. It is my duty to say "Have fun and be careful.

Rach-I thought you might ask that... unfortunately, my fundages are required elsewhere ($6000 upfront for grad school this upcoming semester leaves me without a lot of extra cash for the fun stuff) ... but after that, who knows? ;)

Thank you everyone for the nice comments, they are very much appreciated. I also promise that I will be very careful on the new toy. In fact, to aid in that department, I'll be signing up for a rider safety course in the spring.

Needs a new pipe (I can find an OEM for next to nothing on ebay, literally) and the wheels they have on there were described as "rashed" and the rear doesn't hold air. So, if they're repairable, I'll just sandblast and paint them. If not, I'll be looking for a set of used wheels. I may be interested in the grattan thing, I'll think about that more and let you know.
